Well my electronics have been arriving in the mail. So far my M5451 ICs from future electronics and my RGB LEDs from Ebay have arrived. However, my Arduino starter kit is still in the mail. Interestingly enough, I was expecting the Arduino to arrive via FedEx today and didn’t even know the M5451s had shipped. Yet the Arduino is “out for delivery” and the FedEx truck has already stopped by with my M5451s. I am guessing that I will see him again later today. I will update in a little bit with my first impressions of the Arduino. However, I have two exams tomorrow and will be a little busy preparing for those today.
Well I just had my last College Halloween. This year I did the Haunted House at the Moose Lodge. There is nothing like donating time to charity on a holiday. We saw a few hundred people go through the Haunted House and pulled a decent profit which will be going to the Pullman Humane Society as well as a bunch of cans of food for the Pullman Food Bank. It was lots of fun.
Now putting these two concepts together, I would love to Arduino up the Haunted House. There is so much that physical computing could do for a haunted house. Between automated props and sensor controlled lights and sound I think that for a relatively small amount of money we could really improve the flow of the Haunted house. It doesn’t really need it, but it would be fun none-the-less.
